Oomen Agro stores, grades, packs, and trades onions for clients all over the world. The company was established in 2000 and emerged from the arable farm and cooling company which were run by the current owner, Jac Oomen. Oomen Agro currently has 10 employees and at the Marknesse location some 25,000 tons of onions are processed each year.

About 85% of the onions processed are exported immediately and these products mainly go to destinations in Germany, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Africa and South America. In these countries Oomen Agro has been able to establish solid relationships so business is conducted in confidence.
